DESCRIPTION:About The Festival\nThere’s more to the beef industry than the steak on your plate or the meat in your burger. Make your way to the beef capital of Australia\, the picturesque town of Casino\, NSW – for Casino Beef Week\, an annual celebration of this iconic Australian industry and the rural way of life.\nTaking place over 11 days\, the festival is held at the end of May each year and provides entertainment\, education and an authentic country experience for the whole family. With over 100 vibrant events to enjoy\, there is no shortage of fun things to see and do. \nThe main street of Casino comes alive for the festival\, with food\, markets\, live music\, entertainment\, competitions\, rides\, a street parade and plenty of appearances from the stars of the show – the cattle and farmers! The rodeo and horse races add to the action\, while farm tours provide an opportunity to escape to the country and learn about the local farming practices and the paddock to plate process. \nFor the industry\, the festival is one of the largest and longest running beef events in Australia. There are plenty of opportunities to network\, share and exchange knowledge\, and learn about the latest industry developments at one of the seminars\, cattle sales and beef competitions. Casino is also central to a number of other primary industries and manufacturing enterprises\, including the NSW Sugar Mill\, Richmond Dairies\, Riverina Stock Feeds\, New World Foods\, and the Casino Food Co-Op. Casino Beef Week is where all the action happens! \nCasino is located in the Richmond Valley in the Northern Rivers region of NSW.
